The pages and posts on Ark in Time are written by Asaf Braverman in conjunction with several other individuals, credited whenever appropriate.
Asaf was born in Israel and spent his formative years in Europe before returning to serve in the Israeli Army as a Medic. In 1995, he joined the Fellowship of Friends, an international spiritual school based on the Fourth Way teachings of George Gurdjieff and Peter Ouspensky.
After completing his military service, Asaf was discharged from the Army in 1998 and moved to the Fellowship of Friends’ headquarters in northern California. He spent the next decade examining the ancient wisdom of mankind against the backdrop of the Fourth Way. Asaf gradually learned that, despite the seemingly diverse expressions of ancient wisdom, they all presented similar truths; that Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Judaism and Christianity and all other major spiritual expressions were merely different hues of the same few primal colors.
In 2007, Asaf Braverman married Ansley Pierce. Together, they set about traveling the world, Asaf assuming the role of travel writer and Ansley of travel photographer. The following two years presented Asaf with a unique opportunity, one that he had never even dreamed of: to bring the knowledge he had gained during the previous decade, of the diverse religious traditions and secular cultures, to the places of their origin. He could now explore in person what previously he was only able to reach through second-hand accounts. Asaf and Ansley based themselves in Italy and from there traveled to all the major ancient sites of the world, spanning Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Central and South America.
These two years of travel formed the foundation of Asaf’s subsequent understanding, which he formulates and presents in his book Ark in Time. Asaf takes full responsibility for any views and opinions that he expresses in arkintime.com, originating as they do, from his own direct experience and understanding. The views and opinions presented on this portal of ancient wisdom are, therefore, exclusively his own.
